To Wren's Singing Page
The Early Years
Coming from a musical family, I started singing at an early age. I remember singing into a small cassette tape recorder as young as 5 or 6 years old, singing with my daddy. Some of the songs I remember are "Ride a Little Horsie Down to Town" and "Brand New Key". I was a little shy so I did not sing in public until I was 12 or 13. Then I sang the National Anthem for a Democratic Convention. What a way to start, huh? While in high school, I was always in the Choir. We did several musicals, such as "Fiddler on the Roof" and "South Pacific". I also played several dances with a country band. I sang the National Anthem at many rodeos and sporting events.
