This may have been before we moved
to Texas, but I remember staying in some road-side motels
and going with my daddy to some of his shows with my mom
and my brother. He traveled a lot with a big group of
singers, including Buck Owens. The fun part for me was
playing back stage with the props that were there from
other shows. They performed these concerts in big
auditoriums.
My daddy had a song that he
wrote called "Daddy's Girl". I can proudly say
he wrote that one for me. He was a regular host of a
local TV program called "Panther Hall". My
first ever television appearance came about one night
when he set me on his lap...
